Giving Back to Society: DYPSOM’s Environmental & Community Initiatives
DYPSOM continues to extend learning beyond classrooms through meaningful
environmental and community initiatives.
In December, students at DY Patil School of Medicine, Ambi participated in a tree
plantation drive, where every group of five students planted and took responsibility for
nurturing one tree. This initiative established a lasting tradition—encouraging every batch to
contribute towards a greener campus while building a strong connection with nature.
Alongside environmental efforts, students actively engaged in community outreach
programs. Each student adopted a family, conducting regular visits to monitor health,
provide nutritional guidance, and ensure overall well-being.
Health camps were also organized in nearby villages like Gholewadi and Warangwadi
where the adopted family stays. where students with hospital staff offered free check-ups,
basic treatments, and medicines. These initiatives not only addressed healthcare needs but
also strengthened trust and relationships within the community.
With participation from around all students, these efforts reflect a deep commitment to
social responsibility, sustainability, and compassionate care.
