About the program

The program includes a compulsory rotational internship of 1 year duration. The training program is divided into four phases , namely First Professional MBBS, Second Professional MBBS, Third Professional MBBS part I and Third Professional MBBS part II. Two months are designated for Elective rotations in the time period between completion of Third Professional part I and commencement of Third Professional part II. A Foundation Course of one month duration is conducted at the start of First Professional part I. The entire course is conducted as per the Competency Based Curriculum suggested by the Medical Council of India. Training the candidate in clinical and practical skills is given as much importance as conducting theory classes. The students are introduced to the clinics from the First Professional Year. Our state of art Simulation Laboratory is used to impart Skills training to the undergraduate students. Dedicated time has been carved out in the program to impart Attitude, Ethics and Communication (AETCOM) skills in all the phases.

The program is designed with a goal to create an Indian Medical Graduate (IMG) possessing knowledge, skills, attitudes, values and responsiveness to function appropriately and effectively as a Physician of first contact while being globally relevant.
